Hello Kitty Llama
Japanese company Sanrio, the copyright holders of Hello Kitty, is celebrating its 60th anniversary this year. The lion’s share of the company’s success is undoubtedly down to the little white cat. Hello Kitty has been around for more than 45 years now – although you wouldn’t think so just by looking at her! For Hello Kitty moves with the times and is constantly reinventing herself. True to the original from 1974, she continues to be simply drawn and without a mouth. Having no mouth is probably what makes her so popular, as almost every emotion can be projected onto her face.
According to Sanrio, Hello Kitty is more widely recognised worldwide than any other character. Even the PEZ collection wouldn’t be the same without her: a new Hello Kitty PEZ assortment has been released almost every year for more than a decade now, resulting in dozens of different dispensers featuring the little cat. This year, she will be going for the traditional Andes folklore look, accompanied by an adorable llama in one of her favourite colours: pink. Hello Kitty fans and PEZ heads are sure to have lots of fun with her.
